My journey to health and wellness has been a life-long one, and one that I will continue to be on the rest of my life. Having experienced several adverse childhood experiences at a young age, I learned unhealthy coping mechanisms that eventually led me to poor mental health, weighing 457 pounds, and facing possible amputation and severe joint health issues due to chronic health conditions worsened by my weight.

I, initially, lost 100 pounds with the bariatric sleeve surgery, years after an unsuccessful attempt with the bariatric lap-band. But, I never addressed the core issue that led to my poor health. During COVID, I had the time to work on myself for my family. I learned to respect and value my mental health as much as my physical health. I started on a journey working out daily and managing my nutrition. I also established a community of support to get me there, leading me to lost a total of 250 pounds.

My personal fitness journey with my professional experience supporting victims of abuse and people of all ages through trauma, has led to the establishment of Renewal- a trauma-informed and safe environment for all to engage in fitness and find their community of support.

My fitness journey started February 2022 thanks to my wife Cimarron who said we're going to start working out. I said okay !!! I absolutely fell in love with the sport. It was by far the best decision I have made!!!! The culture RHF creates and the people it brings is amazing. The work outs can be scaled down to accommodate anyone with any ability, with no judgment. I love how everyone encourages each other and we all push each other to achieve goals. As a coach I am looking forward to helping people reach the health and fitness goals they want to achieve. I want to share my passion with others and show them they can do anything they set their mind too. Just got to take that first step!!!
